Google Images not working?

Whenever I click on pretty much any image in google images, it take me to an error message that says:

HTTP Status 404 – /imgres

type Status report

message /imgres

description The requested resource (/imgres) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.20

I am using an online proxy, but I’ve been using it a long time, and Google Images worked fine with it a week ago. How do I fix this?

The images returned by the search largely reside on only one server, from which the images have been deleted.

Look at the domain name listed under each image; it will be the same for all the missing images.

Change your search term and you can see other images.

There is nothing you can do about this message.

  2. "/imgres" is the page Google Images uses to help you access the original website the image came from, with their little toolbar at the top of the page.

You need to contact your proxy provider, since google images is working fine from where I am. A workarround is to copy the URL its taking you to (right click the image and choose Copy Link Location, in firefox atleast), lets say you searched for "test" and you had the URL:

    http://images.google.com/imgres? imgurl = http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/turing_test.png & imgrefurl = http://xkcd.com/329/ & usg=__DdATXOcoguD2UbYUMs_iwi4r54I=&h=394&w=320&sz=22&hl=en&start=1&tbnid=7Gb8lvLsgO1j8M:&tbnh=124&tbnw=101&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtest%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

Here ive split up the URL with a few spaces, but you should see that the text between "imgrefurl=" and the next "&" is a website, and thats the website the image was from.

So there you go, if you want to get to the website in the meantime, thats probably the way to do it. Good luck
