    This is beautiful! …
This is beautiful! Keep the Native traditions alive sisters and brothers.

I have read the comments below and it is terrible how some are arguing, we Natives have done nothing to the white people. They came and took our land, with only greed on their hearts. If we could all learn to agree to disagree, silly internet arguments wouldn’t happen like this. Those arguments have the same mentality of the white settlers had. Lets just all learn to love one another.

May the Great Spirit bless you.

why is she wearing a cross?

  10. This is one of the …
This is one of the holiest rituals by the Mescalero Apache in central New Mexico to honor a rite of passage for the young girl who will soon become a woman. “The Changing Woman” ceremony has been celebrated since time-immemorial when the Apache came into this world.
It is through womanhood that the modern Apache continues to live.

    she was “dusted …
she was “dusted with pollen, the symbol of fertility”. what if she had allergies?!

  20. Beautiful.
    Beautiful.

  21. Native Americans …
Native Americans hear crap like this from people like locknezmunster since the 1600s. He is ignorant anything beyond the words of his bible and his church is something that should be “let go” because “it breeds demonic entities” well the only demonic entity here is his spirits hate for anything beyond his religion. Yes I agree that views like this breed genocide, suicide bombings, terrorist attacks. I remind myself hes just a man afraid of the rest of the lords children and anything different.

  22. my respect to …
my respect to the apache girl, now thats tradition pride 1oo percent, every one has to believe in somthing possitive if not then whats the point no matter your religion at the end its all good

  23. erm…yes they do. …
erm…yes they do. Go watch more documentaries.

  24. The reason Atheists …
The reason Atheists don’t hate the Native American beliefs is because they don’t knock on your door and say that they are the only right path.

They don’t shove their beliefs down other people’s throats; they aren’t a pain in the ass.

But Christians tend to do this, this the hate. If Christians left non-Christians alone, they wouldn’t be hated.

  25. …and thus ensures …
…and thus ensures the extinction of humanity. Good job.
